The Public Foodscapes Collective is group of volunteers aiming to increase public access and engagement with local foods and foraging.
The goals of this group will evolve with your participation, however the initial inspiration is the desire to:
bring together growers and activists in our community for the purpose of meeting one another,
get to know each other’s work,
celebrate and accentuate current edible landscapes in our community,
develop a shared vision for the future that includes the integration of more public edible landscapes, a.k.a. "foodscapes," in the Greater Portland area,
take collective and inclusive action toward building a healthy, equitable, and food secure community in which we all can not only survive but THRIVE!
The Leadership Committee of the Public Foodscapes Collective is hard at work preparing for the upcoming Community Design Café. Stay tuned for more details TBA. To get involved, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
